We have been growing organic vegetables since 2002,and became certified organic in 2008 by MOSA. We believe strongly in using sustainable organic farming practices to grow high quality fresh vegetables. We care for our soil with compost, cover crops, crop rotation, and micronutrients creating nutrient rich, flavorful food. We feed the soil, and Healthy soil grows healthy plants that are better at resisting diseases, and pests.
Although our farm isn’t large we take great pride in the quality we are able to achieve with our added care! We owe our success to hard work, years of research, love of the land, and large amounts of coffee! With young children we understand the importance of knowing where, and how your food is grown! Eating local and organic food is our health assurance, and insures a future for small farmers.
Our vegetables are always picked carefully, washed, cooled, boxed, and delivered fresh to the customer. Since 2007 we’ve provided CSA members with professional friendly service. We are known for beautiful heads of green and red leaf lettuce, garlic, and red potatoes to name a few.
Seasonal eating is an exciting way to enjoy all the usuals, but also to discover a few new great tasting vegetables. Excellent recipes are provided in each weeks box to help you with preparing meals of common vegetables or the occasional uncommon one.
We sell our produce through our CSA, weekly at the Viroqua farmers market and to Willy’s St. coop on the westside. The farm is located 30 minutes from Viroqua, 2 hours west of Madison, and 1 ½ hours east of lacrosse.
